There was a girl I met in a Harry Potter forum when I was about 13. We emailed and talked. She an Australian Muslim, about two years older then me. We talked about everything (she was responsiable for my first kiss in a way).

Since she lived in Australia and I in Illinois, we mostly talked and she was the older sister I have never had. We were close, until my email went seven shades of crazy on me and by the time I got it to work, she left the fandom.

I miss her.

Thing is I'm actually very sociable and outgoing etc and feel myself that it was different becuase we knew we were all in teh same plce and would probably walk into each other sometime anyway.

but then really, it probably isn't any different and I'm just trying to make excuses

I write back and forth with someone I met online a while ago, she reads my journal and sends me things she writes.

On both ends it's pretty deep and meaningful, we tell each other things we'd not want to share with people we know in real life and respond thoughtfully. I'd say there's a bit of flirting there as well but as we're unlikely to ever meet physically, I doubt that anything like a real-life relationship will come of it.
